The last 5 weeks have been super busy with work and buying a house.
Most of our time has been consumed with trying to get the house ready for us to move into. The majority of it has gone to plan but there will still be a need to continually update or replace things for some time ahead.
This has meant we haven’t had much time to run, walk, cycle or just go outdoors as much as we would like. Once in we’ll have a break from house stuff and take some time to enjoy the change in seasons.
Who knows, I might even get time to start writing again.
My Writing
Old Friend - Got out into the hills recently and it felt good to be away from everything.

Other Interesting Links
The Burning Question About Fungi - Interesting read about experiments with fungi and how they react to extreme temperatures.
The Himalayan Tragedy That Forever Changed Mountaineering - Tragic story of an expedition on Nandi Devi and the death of Nadi Devi Unsoeld.
Books I’ve Read & Enjoyed
Slow Horses | Mick Herron - I haven’t watched the TV show yet but I wanted to read it. Tightly written, and good-humoured, a fresh take on the genre, I really enjoyed this. I’m a sucker for a good spy novel.
Killing Pablo | Mark Bowden - I enjoyed Narcos (series on Netflix) so this added more details on Pablo. Good informative read if you’re into that sort of thing.
Mushroom: A Global History | Cynthia D Bertelsen - A friend gave me a copy of this. Really enjoyed reading about mushrooms and how they have impacted various societies over time.
That’s it for now. Thanks for reading. Get outside, explore and stay safe. Till next time.
